Mission Statement
The Washington County Healthy Heart Coalition exists to create awareness and promote healthy life choices that can lead to the reduction of risk factors and incidence of cardiovascular disease among the residents of Washington County.
Coalition Efforts
The Coalition strives to develop supportive environments that establish policies and systems, which make positive cardiovascular health choices possible in schools, worksites, health care systems, and communities. Interventions focus on the six modifiable risk factors of cardiovascular disease: physical inactivity, poor nutrition, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and tobacco use and exposure.
