Disc Golf
What is disc golf?

Disc golf is a sport in which players throw a flying disc into a basket. The object of the game is to walk a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.

Where can I play?

The Coalition is excited to co-sponsor the first disc golf course in Washington County. The course is located at Broughton’s Nature and Wildlife Education Area on SR 821.

The Big Buckeye Red Course is a beginner friendly 18-hole course with mostly open fairways. The Red Course is designed for the recreational to intermediate player.

The new "Upper 9" is much more challenging than the lower 18 holes. Walk up the gravel road beside the #17 tee box and keep going up until you reach the #1 tee sign. The new 9 is a mix of up-hills, down-hills, tunnel shots and some sneaky woods shots.

Local disc golf courses are also located at Mountwood Park in Walker, WV and Ohio University in Athens, OH.
