Buckeye Best Healthy School Awards
The Buckeye Best Healthy Schools Awards recognize schools that demonstrate a commitment to the health and wellness of their students and staff through the establishment of programs and policies that foster such goals. These include improving nutrition, increasing physical activity and stopping or preventing the use of tobacco.
The new application is available for download on the above website. The due date to have the application returned to the Ohio Department of Health is March 31.
The coalition strongly encourages local schools to apply for the awards and be recognized for the positive steps they are taking to improve their healthful learning environments.
