Healthy Worksites
Why should an employer value worksite wellness?

Employees are more likely to be on the job performing  well when they are in optimal physical and psychological health.  They are also more likely to be attracted to, remain with, and value a company that obviously values them.  There are many reasons, especially in the current business and health climate, to promote wellness in the workplace.  Those reasons include:
  • Improved business image
  • Improved community relations
  • Improved employer/employee relations
  • Improved job satisfaction
  • Improved employee morale
  • Increased quality and quantity of production
  • Decreased levels of stress and conflict
  • Decreased cost of recruiting and retraining
  • Fewer on-the-job injuries
  • Fewer disability days
  • Fewer sick days
  • Reduced staff turnover
  • Reduced absenteeism/presenteeism
  • Reduced workers' compensation claims
  • Reduced healthcare costs
