Tick Borne Illnesses
The health department can send a tick to be identified at a lab.  Ohio Department of Health Lab is not testing ticks for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.  If a tick is identified as a deer tick, is alive and has fed, it can be tested for Lyme Disease.
