Sewage Program

 
Our office permits and inspects the installation of residential and commercial (1000 gallons/day or less flow) sewage treatment systems within Washington County. In order to obtain a permit, an application needs to be completed and returned along with a plat or survey map and the appropriate fee.
 
Fees are as follows: New Installation or Replacement       $300
  Small Flows (1000 gal/day or less)     $325
  Alteration to an existing system         $125
 
Our office also inspects sewage treatments systems on homes or properties that are being sold. NOTE: It is not required by the Health Department that a system be inspected prior to a property being sold. It may be required by the buyer and/or lending agency. The fee for this inspection is $125.
