Raccoon Surveillance & Testing
The Washington County Health Department currently has a contract with the Ohio Department of Health to submit raccoons for rabies testing that are exhibiting odd behavior or have come in contact with a human and/or pet.
If you notice a raccoon acting strange or if you or your pet have come in contact with one, notify the Health Department as soon as possible for instructions.
