Commercial construction projects require a plumbing permit. The Washington County Health Department issues plumbing permits for rural Washington County (outside Marietta) Monroe County and Noble County.

An application and 3 sets of sealed blueprints should be submitted to the health department at 342 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, Ohio.

Plumbers should hold a valid Ohio Plumbing Contractors License.
